A lovely collection from clarinetist Pete Fountain, bringing together some classic New Orleans and Dixieland favourites. There is a really easy charm to this record, with Fountain's clarinet carrying the melodies and giving the whole thing that unmistakable vintage jazz feel.
The tracklist is short but fun, moving from familiar tunes like Sidewalks of New York and Till We Meet Again to more lively numbers like South Rampart St. Parade, Sensation Rag and Bugle Call Rag. A great little record for anyone who enjoys traditional jazz, New Orleans sounds and older instrumental recordings.
The record is in excellent condition. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
