Stalin and Voroshilov in the Kremlin" (1938) by Alexander Gerasimov is one of the most iconic examples of Soviet propaganda art and socialist realism. The oil painting depicts Soviet leader Joseph Stalin walking alongside Defense Commissar Kliment Voroshilov on the grounds of the Moscow Kremlin.
Originally titled "Guardians of Peace," the painting presents the two leaders as heroic protectors of the Soviet Union, rising above a panoramic view of Moscow in a manner reminiscent of legendary Russian folk heroes (bogatyrs). The composition symbolized the readiness of both government and military to defend the country.
An iconic avant-garde propaganda piece blending suprematism and political messaging. The artist passed away in 1941.
Our prints are made using high-resolution giclée technology on archival-quality paper or canvas to ensure vibrant colors and lasting durability. Each piece is carefully packaged with protective materials to arrive in perfect condition.
