A really fun vintage collection of some of the biggest movie themes of the early 1960s. Rather than being one complete film soundtrack, this record brings together memorable themes from a whole range of films, from Lawrence of Arabia and Cleopatra to The Great Escape, Dr. No, The Apartment and Exodus. There is a nice mix of big orchestral arrangements, dramatic themes and more romantic pieces, so it has that classic old Hollywood soundtrack feel throughout.

It is also a great record to put on if you like vintage cinema and instrumental music. You get several familiar melodies in one place, with performances and arrangements by names including Leroy Holmes, Riz Ortolani, Ferrante & Teicher, Elmer Bernstein and André Previn. A proper snapshot of the movie music of its time.

The record is in excellent condition. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
