A lovely late 70s Hindi film soundtrack with that unmistakable Laxmikant-Pyarelal sound. The album has a great mix of songs, from Lata Mangeshkar's beautiful title track to the lively duet Chhap Tilak with Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi's Yeh Khidki Jo Band Rahti Hai.
There is plenty of variety across the two sides, with romantic songs, traditional influences and some really strong vocal performances. The combination of Lata, Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Shobha Gurtu, Anuradha and Hemlata makes this a particularly nice vintage Bollywood LP.
Released in 1978 and issued by HMV as ECLP 5584, this is a great record for anyone collecting classic Hindi film music, Laxmikant-Pyarelal or the golden voices of Indian playback singing.
The record is in excellent condition. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
