About the record:
The self-titled debut from Cigarettes After Sex is one of those records that has a very particular atmosphere from the moment the needle drops. Released in 2017, it is built around Greg Gonzalez's soft vocals, slow guitars and spacious arrangements, creating that dreamy, late-night sound the band became known for. Songs like K., Apocalypse, Sunsetz and Sweet are probably the standouts, but the whole album works best as one continuous mood.
There is something very intimate about this record. It feels quiet, romantic and slightly melancholic without trying too hard. A great modern LP for late nights, dim rooms and anyone who likes their music slow and atmospheric.
Condition: Excellent. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
