There is something very easy about putting on a Dean Martin record. The Door Is Still Open to My Heart comes from 1964, right in the middle of Martin's hugely popular period, and has that relaxed, effortless vocal style he was so good at. The album mixes romantic numbers with lighter, more upbeat songs, making it a really enjoyable listen from beginning to end.
The title track is one of the highlights, but there are plenty of familiar favourites here too, including We'll Sing in the Sunshine, In the Misty Moonlight and You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You. It has that unmistakable 1960s Dean Martin sound, with lush arrangements and a little bit of country-pop influence running through the record.
The record is in excellent condition. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
