A fascinating piece of 1960s political history. A Memorial Album brings together recordings from John F. Kennedy's political career, including his inauguration, press conferences, speeches on the space programme and Cuban Missile Crisis, along with recordings connected to the events surrounding his assassination.

What makes this particularly interesting is that it is not simply a collection of speeches. It was produced as a memorial tribute in the immediate aftermath of Kennedy's death, capturing both his public voice and the atmosphere of the moment. You get a real sense of the period from hearing Kennedy speak in his own voice, alongside the news coverage and commentary included on the record.

A great vintage spoken-word LP for anyone interested in American political history, Kennedy memorabilia or historically significant records from the early 1960s.

The record is in excellent condition. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
