About the record
Released in 1959, The All-Time Top Tangos finds Stanley Black and his orchestra taking on twelve classic tangos with rich orchestral arrangements and his characteristic polished, cinematic sound.
The record moves through some of the best-known pieces in the tango repertoire, including La Cumparsita, A Media Luz, Jealousy, Adios Muchachos and El Choclo. There is plenty of drama and movement here, but it still has that elegant easy-listening quality that makes Stanley Black records so enjoyable.
A lovely vintage LP for collectors of tango, Latin music, orchestral recordings and classic mid-century easy listening.
Condition: Excellent. Not mint, but very well kept and ready to play.
